From the initial discovery to the declaration of landmark status, the Fleet House has been unconditionally hailed as a 'must-save' on the list of historically significant South Pasadena architecture.
What makes it that much more relevant is the pedigree of design talent involved in the project...industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss, architect Edward Larrabee Barnes, photographer Julius Shulman...and the association with one of the leading aircraft builders in the country at the time, The Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Company.
The house was given local landmark status in May 2009 by the city of South Pasadean, CA.
