Los Angeles Conservancy has hailed the find of this lost treasure and has acknowledged its importance to one of
the most "unusual and pedigreed chapters in the history of manufactured homes".
Originally built in an aircraft factory, the house is made up of lightweight aluminum panels with a paper honeycomb core. These full-length panels were unique to the design of the house and resembled nothing like the pre-fab houses of its time.
